![]() Moca and I were the last ones left who had to leave. As the sun began to set luminating the sky in a colorful shade of orange, we all said our farewells as our friends went home for the evening. She was studying flower arrangement with her father so she was unable to play with us. It was another day of playing tag at the playground. It still pains me that I never got to say goodbye to all of the friends that I made. Eventually came the final day with my friends. As much as I loved staying in Tokyo with my friends, the inevitable day that I would return home approached. Whether it was shop keep, tag, hide and seek, or playing as a make-believe family, we always had fun. Almost everyday without fail, we would all meet at the park and play. Time went by and we all became the closest of friends. You two are definitely related! Why don't the two of you run your flower shop together?" Tsugumi suggested.ĭay quickly faded into evening as the six of us played many games together. "I want to run a flower shop!" I declared. "Y/N, do you want to play shop keep with us?" Ran asked me. The bright and clear summer sky made this the perfect day for a bunch of kids to hang out outside. Upon him leaving, it was just me and the five girls who all seemed excited to have a new friend with them. "Why don't you play with them and I'll pick you and Ran up later." "See, they're very friendly and want to play with you," Mr. Nice to meet you all." I shyly responded as I bowed. "I'm Tomoe Udagawa! Nice to meet ya!" The energetic red haired girl grinned at me. Ran and Y/N will be like brother and sister from now on. "Is he the boy who is staying with us?" Questioned a girl with short black hair and vibrant red eyes. "Hello, is it alright if Y/N plays with you guys?" Holding my hand, we made our way over to my relative and her friends. ![]() He had told me that Ran was shy as well, so he must've been used to this sort of situation. Although I hid, I knew that I wanted to play with them. Hiding behind him, I watched the girls play at the playground. "I'll introduce you to them."Īs we made our way to the nearby playground, I shyly clung to uncle Mitake. "Sure, but I'm not great at talking to other kids." Do you want to go play with them while I get your stuff arranged?" She's out playing with her friends right now. She's a bit shy, but I think the two of you will get along just fine. You'll be staying with us for a little while." He smiled. Mitake first said to me are still crystal clear in my memory. ![]() All of the worries that I felt about living with strangers in a foreign city dissipated almost immediately after I arrived there. So, seeing as how there was no one to look after me at home, it was decided that I would be spending time living with my relatives, the Mitake family. I never knew my mother, however, I heard stories about her. Well, he never made a full recovery, but he was well enough to leave the hospital. The terminal illness he had got really bad so he was hospitalized. Perhaps it was better that I didn't realize the gravity of the situation. Call it the innocence of childhood for me not realizing the cause. At the time, I didn't understand why I was being sent to Tokyo to temporally live my uncle and his daughter, but now I know full well. Especially the day that I first met them. The memories of those days keep coming back to me.
